Alisa & Moritz – Emotional City Wedding in Bonn
Documentary wedding photography between Bonn’s old town, the university & that special autumn vibe
There are weddings where you instantly feel how deeply two people are connected. Alisa & Moritz’s wedding in Bonn was exactly that kind of day — full of emotions, happy tears and this calm, honest kind of love between two people.
And then there was this mild autumn day with a mix of warm & cold fall colors all over the city. I love when the season and the surroundings naturally start telling part of the story on their own.
A morning filled with coffee, shopping lists & emotional letters
The day started before sunrise at their apartment. Between shopping lists for the evening party, one last espresso from their beloved coffee machine and final preparations, there was this slightly chaotic but beautiful feeling that only exists right before a wedding. The two exchanged personal letters — one of the first emotional moments of the day, and definitely not the last.
You could feel their connection the entire time. This calmness, this familiarity. Just pure love.
Wedding photos at the University of Bonn
Since Alisa & Moritz met at university, it was obvious that we had to take part of their wedding photos there.
Between the historic buildings of the University of Bonn I was allowed to capture natural and honest moments during their first look. Places like this make wedding documentaries feel personal because they are truly part of the couple’s story.
Civil wedding & intimate church ceremony
After the couple portraits, we headed to the civil ceremony in Bonn. One especially beautiful detail was that the two also wanted a small church ceremony afterwards - intimate, emotional and filled with honest moments. There was laughter, tears, hugs and everyone singing along to their signature songs. Afterwards, I also documented the reception at their brunch location, including a few group photos, lots of hugs and all those little in-between moments that make a wedding documentary feel alive.
And before you even realize it, five hours full of emotions and real moments are already captured forever.
