Sun, salty air & a sundowner shoot in the sand

Some weddings feel less like a traditional wedding day and more like the perfect summer trip to the sea with your favorite people. That’s exactly what this day at Hippie Fish Beachclub in Zandvoort felt like.

Barefoot in the sand, sunglasses on, drinks in hand and that light, easy energy all day long. No stress, no stiff schedule – more like a really good beach day party.

The ceremony took place right on the beach and was led by friends. While you could hear the ocean in the background, there was laughter, a few tears, and moments where everyone simply turned their faces towards the sun. That mix of emotional and completely effortless really defined the whole day.

Fun group photos & good vibes 

Even the photos with friends never felt like “okay, now we quickly need to take some group pictures.” The boys & girls were in such a good mood, constantly making each other laugh instead of standing stiffly next to one another. Honestly, that’s exactly how I love group photos most — when they actually feel fun.​

Sundowner at the beach

My personal highlight was definitely the couple shoot at sunset. Just walking barefoot through the sand, wine glass in hand, surrounded by golden evening light. Lots of movement, barely any posing — more like joking around, running, dancing and simply enjoying that special atmosphere together. These photos feel like pure summer to me: freedom, wind in your hair and that last warm light right before the sun disappears into the ocean.

That’s exactly what I love about weddings by the sea: when everything feels light and nobody has to pretend to be anything.
